The first and only release by GYARANDU (ギャランドゥ), a special session project featuring Matina (and non-Matina) members, organized by ORICON (オリコン) employee MITAemon (ミタえもん), in collaboration with visual kei magazine Rise, and totally produced by KISAKI. Each copy includes 1 random trading card, of 20 possible.

This release was part of a trading card campaign announced in Rise Vol.4. 33 trading card types were available, featuring either Matina guitarists, DAS:VASSER, or members of the GYARANDU project. Card #1 was awarded to those who completed a quiz; #2 was awarded to the first 300 people to purchase an issue of Rise online; each issue of Rise Vol.4 included one of #4~#12; #13 was awarded to the first 300 people to purchase GYARANDU's demotape online; and each copy of GYARANDU's demotape included one of #14~#33.

The word “GYARANDU” doesn't really mean anything. It comes from a 1983 single by pop artist Saijou Hideki (西城 秀樹), but he has mentioned that it was simply English-sounding gibberish that he made up (although his record label retroactively stated that it means “gal & do”). The term has since come to refer to a trail of hair on the lower abdomen (eg. “happy trail”), but I'm unsure if that usage was around in 2001.
