SOPHYR indefinitely pauses activity
Tour final sponsored event is planned to be held at Ikebukuro (池袋) CYBER, but is cancelled due to the band suddenly pausing activities the month prior.
It seems that vocalist KAMUN had gained some popularity on social media site mixi, partially due to interacting with Sophyr fans, and partially due to his claims(?) of having being friends with certain members of DIR EN GREY.
In response to this apparent increase in popularity(?), both of the band's releases were re-pressed and were sold beginning in February. (The claimed number of copies pressed was suspiciously high for a minor band that had only been active for one year and then dormant for five years...)
The true extent of KAMUN's popularity, and his claims, is unclear.
The band forms its own label, Eternally Records.
The band revived due to collecting over 30(?) signatures in support of a revival via mixi, and announced a 2009 sponsored event at that time. Vocalist KAMUN was seemingly the only member at this time.

Due to collecting enough signatures via mixi, the band's planned revival sponsored event in 2009 is changed to a oneman.
Drummer hazuki joins, and vocalist KAMUN changes the notation of his name to Kamun (歌夢).

Vocalist Kamun (歌夢) is suddenly hospitalized.
Vocalist Kamun (歌夢) is released from the hospital, but seemingly closes his mixi group around that time.
Due to continuing difficulties, the band's revival is unofficially cancelled.
Sophyr unofficially ends revival plans
Revival live oneman (initially planned as a sponsored event but upgraded to a oneman after collecting fan signatures via mixi) is planned to be held at Ikebukuro (池袋) CYBER, but is cancelled due to the band's revival having been cancelled around September 2008.
Sophyr was a visual kei band in Tokyo. They were part of the shiro kei subgenre. They were active from 2001 to 2008 and are currently paused.
